How to fix Multibyte String php error?

If your wordpress blog or any other application is giving error :

"Xyz plugin" requires Multibyte String to be installed

then you need to enable mbstring php extension, which can be done from cPanel -> Select PHP version.

One such error commonly known is:

WP Simple Pay Lite requires Multibyte String to be installed

Solution:

To fix above error, first login to your cPanel and select Select PHP version tool :

Once logged in, go to Options -> Search for mbstring -> check the box against mbstring

This will enable Multibyte String for your account.

Now login to your Wordpress admin dashboard and refresh your browser, to view the changes.
